Growing up in Chicago, my family always had many types of pets in our home.  Mom could not turn away an animal in need so we shared our home with dogs, cats, canaries, parakeets, fish, turtles and even white mice.  Learning how to take care of them and loving them was the best adventure a child could experience.  As an adult, the adventures continued.  I typically have multiple dogs in my home that were rescued and desperately in need of TLC, and I regularly open my home to senior, fearful and special need dogs.

Understanding and learning about animal behavior has always been an interest of mine. I only wish I could speak their language; what great conversations we could have!   I have attended many seminars to learn about modifying negative behaviors, aggression, fearfulness, sheltering, and best matches for pet owners to name a few.   Over the years I have graduated from a Family Dog Training program, volunteer at local shelters to help dogs, and teach owners how to change their pet’s behavior.  Having experience in Obedience Dog Training, Training Class instruction, helping dog behavior modification, dog walking, pet sitting and match-making new owners with a new pet has been fulfilling and does my heart good each day.

Keeping a client’s pet safe, cared for, and loved on each visit is a top priority.  I respect and treat each dog with the special touch I would give to my own pets, and appreciate the client’s trust given to me to do so.
